teacher's day

...for the first time in these 12 years, my students invited me for teacher's day celebrations at the sophiya polytechnic. mortified at the thought, i declined!...but to my utter suprise, they asked me to wind up class 5min before time...completely perplexed i obliged...only to find one of them amble to the front guitar in hand, perch herself on the table while the rest rustled out some pages n suddenly the whole class broke into song !! carefuly composed, they had a verse for each teacher...most touching...if last year, they'd count the number of times i'd say ya, this year they're tripping on my maaney...
