"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"...there just has to be a beginning!..the creation story...the easter story...today, after buying easter eggs n after mukul dropped me home, i suddenly felt like going for the easter vigil mass. now that wasn't the bad part...i've always loved the easter night mass...a lot more than christmas midnight mass...the lights off, the lighting of the candles...all very moody n pretty in golden...but then i remembered why i stopped going to church, to mass in the first place...it's these incorrugible priests n their unbearable sermons!...tonight's young turk sashayed betw english n hindi...thundering fist-clenched, "ye sab dan brown, cameroon uncle hai bakwaas, but jesu christ apna hai chakaas!"...yikes! i walked out, couldn't take it anymore...hope my mum don't read this...so he was talkin about about the da vinci code n how these lekkhaks, theatrewalley are all bakwaas!
...as i church-going kid, i remember trying to devise ways of throwing my voice (unnoticed)over the congregation to be picked up by the mic, to challenge the crap they seemed to be dishing out...

There was a great episode of South Park this week that was a take-off on The DaVinci Code, but with an Easter twist, wherein one of boys finds out that his Dad is in a secret cult that worships bunny rabbits, and the whole denouement ends up at the Vatican, with Jesus appearing, twice!
CNN's Jeannie Moos just did a man-on-street segment holding up a cross made of palm, and some stuffed Easter unnies, and asked people "What does one have to do with other?"
I guess this is a question a lot wonder about...

There was a screening in NYC last night of "Seven Islands and a Metro" that I went to, and, lo and behold, as the screen credits rolled, I see that you were involved in it.
How was it filming during the three monsoons?
Did you do any of the work involving the train shots? There was one, very close to end, of a train coming toward the camera, and I was curious as to how that was done.

so seven islands was shot by a friend - Mukul (avimuk.blogspot). I shot just one shot! that travelling shot of this line of cement-mixers crawling ominously over the city skyline at dawn.

Ajay, that was a GREAT shot; I've never seen so many of those cement trucks together, and it's true, it was a very ominous shot, and a lasting image.
I just watched the latest KWK last night. Young Deshmukh's hair was terribly poofy. I love KSS; she's very charismatic. Kunal Kapoor was ok, but I'm kinda getting bored of all the hoopla over how handsome he is.
Saw a preview of next Sunday's show and almost did a spit-take with my coffee when I heard Jaya-ji going on about how Dharmendra had a body like a Greek god!
